What are your three priority issues and why:

1.       Vandalism in our city parks.

Night time vandalism is becoming major concern in our neighborhood parks. I will work for surveillance camera placement for our police, so that these parks can be monitored by our officers at any time or place in our city.

2.       Protection of our Sewer Treatment Facility.

Our sewer treatment plant is our cities most important and expensive asset. It is vital to engage the folks from Washington State in regards to our water quality. I hope the past and ongoing efforts to settle this issue will not be a major burden to our citizens. But at the same time, it seems ironic that our Idaho water quality is being governed by Washington State.

3.        Transparency in local Government.

Transparency is the hot button word in Government. I have been a big proponent of CD’A TV, encouraging our city to televise more meetings and engaging our citizens. I will continue to work and encourage the NIC Board, Hayden City and Kootenai County to step up and be transparent by televising they’re meetings so our citizens can at least better understand how our Government works.

Also, stay vigilant on the proposed Legislative Bills changing the way our Cities can be funded for PEG channels.
